How to create a new Private network and Router in mCloud

This guide details the steps required to create and configure a new private network in the Cloud Dashboard.

Method:

  1. Log into mCloud at https://mcloud.micron21.com/

  2. Navigate to Project > Network > Networks

  3. Select "+ Create Network" at the top right

  4. Enter a name for the network and ensure you have “Enable Admin State” and "Create Subnet" ticked then Click Next

  5. Enter a subnet name, network address and gateway IP for the subnet then click Next

  6. Enter DHCP allocation ranges, DNS servers and any static routes required, then click ‘Create’

  7. Next, we’ll need to create a router, start by navigating to Project > Networks > Routers and select "+ Create Router"

  8. Enter a Router Name and ensure you have “Enable Admin State” Ticke. Select an external network then click "Create Router"

  9. Click on the newly created router to enter it’s settings

  10. Click on the Interfaces tab and select "+ Add Interface"

  11. Select the internal subnet created in step 8, and enter the Gateway IP address you set in step 5 and click submit

  12. You can now assign your instances IP addresses that are on the internal range and they will have internet access
